Hi

does anyone know how to simulate reverse flow in fluent. the veleocity should be in reverse direction to reveome the cake deposit/to clean the filter..

you may try this... use a pressure outlet BC and manipulate the back-pressure for flow reversal!

Hi thx for your reply.

i didnt get what do u mean by manupulate the pressure in outlet BC. the ceramic filter has one open end and one closed end. from the previous exp results i see that the pressure is almost zero near open end and maximum (approx 5000 pa) at closed end..

in my geometry the pressure outlet BC is open end..so should i enter max pressure here??
