Default Simulation of Longitudinal Vortices in a channel

Hi all,

I've tried some of the tutorials in FLUENT but am still confused on how to run an unsteady simulation for longitudinal vortices. I have a delta wing vortex generator which I have placed on a wall of a rectangular channel.

The flow is laminar and I understand that I have to simulate it as an unsteady flow to capture the time dependant vortices.

Would appreciate any help/feedback..please!!

thanks
