Gambit Rotation

Hi All,
While doing external aero meshing in Gambit, I've been irritated to no end by the rotation of the model. The domain is huge, but the surfaces I'm trying to mesh are much smaller (as you might expect in an external aero problem). Gambit seems to want to rotate about some point relative to the entire domain, so I can't easily rotate just the part I'm working on. Sometimes if I carefully click on a point that is on the surfaces I'm deal with it'll rotate about that point, but it isn't consistent. Anyone have/had a similar issue? |

There is a toggle rotation button. The icon can be found at the bottom right, first row second icon. In the default selection this icon has a point in the center ( this rotates the model about the domain center). If you click this icon, the new icon which comes up has the point offset on the icon. Now you can rotate your geometry about entities. So you can take your cursor near a vertex and then do the rotate, it will rotate about the vertex.
