Global c.sys in GAMBIT or FLUENT

Hi everyone,
Returning to my question from some days ago (where nobody seems to know the answer). The solution is to import the same partial geometry in FLUENT and change the global coordinate system in either GAMBIT or FLUENT between each import. Does anyone know how to translate the global coordinate system in GAMMBIT. It is easy enough in FLUENT, where theres only one c.sys. and an option named "translate". But what about GAMBIT. |

your question is fuzzy at the best. if you can translate nodes in fluent, you can translate volumes in gambit. in gambit nodes are attached to volumes (in fluent when you translate the nodes you are actually translating the fuild asscoiated with it, same effect as gambits volume translate).

What is fuzzy about this:
"Does anyone know how to translate the global coordinate system in GAMBIT" ?? In FLUENT you can translate (move) the global and only coordinate system by the option -Grid-Translate... where you set the new origo by the translate offsets. In GAMBIT you have or can have several local coordinate systems, and logically only one global (c.sys.1). When you export the mesh to FLUENT the global coordinate system from GAMBIT is used in FLUENT. My tech support from FLUENT says: change the coordinate settings in GAMBIT or in FLUENT. Im loosing some freedom if i do it in FLUENT. So to summarize Does anyone know how to translate(move) the global coordinate system c.sys.1 in GAMBIT?? |

well now i understood. I was thinking you want to move mesh or nodes etc, but you have made it very clear that you want to move the global cordinate system. Now there is nothing fuzzy about it. Best of luck with it.
