Hello,

I want to include some FLUENT contour plots into a conference paper we are to publish. I want to make modifications on the default characteristics of these plots such as background color, titles, colormaps, and so. I thought it would be easy, but I have not figured it out yet so far. I'll really appreciate your help and suggestions. Kind Regards

Pedro R

To change titles simply mouse-click on the text and you should be able to change it.

If you are using windows as platform you can right-click on the icon in the upper left corner of the window. Here you can enter page setup... to change background etc.

Regards, PAD

You can modify the colormaps (Display->Colormaps). You can change where the colormap is in the Dislpay->Options window.

When you make a hardcopy of the image, that's where you change the background (use the "Reverse Background" option in the Hardcopy window)

For titles, PAD was right and you just click on the part of the title you want to change. Or for more options go to Display->Annotate. You'll still have to click on where in the title block you want to add/change text.

Other good things to learn about are in the Display->Scene window (you can play with combining plots using the Overlay option, play with transparency, lighting, and shading).

You can do a lot in Fluent. Maybe not everything you want to, but I'd be willing to bet you can do the majority of it if not all. Many people just don't take any time to learn how to do it in Fluent, so they're stuck buying a secondary package.

Hope this helps, and good luck, Jason
