Hey I am using some non linear boundary profile at the velocity inlet. But fluent is not allowing me to initialize the domain using this boundary profile instead I have to give some constant velocity at while initializing the domain.

Can any one suggest how can I initialize the domain using non linear velocity profile?

Hi,

You could probably use a UDF(DEFINE_PROFILE) to give the boundary profile you need. Look at the examples in the UDF Manual of Fluent and see if it is similar to what you want.

If you're running Fluent 6.2 or on you can initialize with a constant and then use the FMG initialization (the TUI command is: solve init fmg yes) to improve the initialization.

Hope this helps, and good luck, Jason
