in alter data equation

an there you have to specify your tangential velocity formula

Hi,

In my opinion the best way to do that is to export a tecplot data file from fluent directly as follow

from file menu select export then select tecplot

from the most right panel select the variables you want to plot say tangential velocity axial velocity ...

and from the surface panel select the surfaces say y0
(or any surface you already have, multiple selection is possible, every surface will be a zone in tecplot, if you did not select any surface the whole domain will be exported)

then press export

the generated file will be readable in tecplot

as follow, file ==> load data file ==> tecplot dat file

if you select some surfaces select 2D (or xy if you exported lines from fluent) while if you did not select 3D

also you can make slices to plot at certain plane or lines inside Tecplot

i hope these useful,

for more details check the Fluent and Tecplot manuals.

Regards,

Khairy

Hello,

Actually I am working with Ansys Fluent and I am going to make plane in templet. I read what you guys wrote but I have problem with that. I went to file menu then sleeted EXPORT. But in export I could not find tecplot. The tecplot is in import. So would please give me some advice. The other question is that when I am using the other way to transport my model to tecplot, just the model got transported. I mean I could not see the velocity profile in my model ( because I am going to see the velocity profile in different positions (by making plane in the model). Would you please help me.
