Default Virtual geometry faces

Hi all,

for meshing reasons, I have performed a merge operation on two real geometry faces, obtaining one virtual geometry face. For post processing, I would like to have the two faces separate again. Is there a way to take advantage of virtual geometry for meshing and "recover" the two separate faces afterwards?

Thanks
