hi
i am generating a mesh in Gambit. I would like to know abt the qulity of the mesh. when i am checking the quality of the mesh: the worst element has a value of 0.80176, and the no. elements in the range 07 to 0.9 are 70. Is the mesh quality good or ????. If the quality is not good...what i have to do(to improve the quality). thanks in advance |

hi As per the mesh quality i cannot comment best for you would be to read the mesh file in fluent and check the mesh.To improve your mesh quality in gambit it is best to divide your region into smaller volumes and mesh them depending on the regions of interest to be meshed appropriately(coarse or fine).I have done this myself hence would advise you to try it,this also reduces the number of skewed elements.
Personally as far as i think your mesh quality does not look bad but maybe you should wait for some comments from other forum members regards |

A good mesh quality is not only defined by the skewnes. You should also check the edge ratio.
