if it's a constante source term, you just have to go in boundary condition panel, select the fluid where the source term will be added, and after select source term... And no you can add a constant source term... If your source term is variable, you have to write a UDF...

If you have another question about this subject don't hesitate...

Thank you so much for replying my question. I have two species in the system, and i want to add the second species under the wall, it's like adding an injection at a point. i only want to add the injection to a single cell. Could you give me some hints about how to specify that cell? Thanks a lot.

If you want to do that, why do not use the injection model in fluent. and in your pb you can choose a single injection. And with that you can choose the coordinate of the cell. But if your pb is more difficult, and need to introduice a UDF, you will have to use centroid to choose your cell (for more detail see the UDF book.

P.S. for the single injection, there a tutorial. It can helpl you...

Hi AdN,

Do you have an idea whether Fluent has any UDF that considers liquid injection of fuel that is not steady......but according to a particular function like say a step function?

counting on your assistance.

James
