Hi, Iam simulating flow in a rectangular channel and using enhanced wall treatment in Fluent. For estimation of Ist grid point (y+=1) I am using the following relation:
y+=(density)*(yp)*(turbulent velocity)/(dynamic viscosity); turbulent velocity = average velocity * SQRT(Cf/2) where yp = distance from the wall Cf = friction coefficient Is this process fine??? |

Yes, it is perfectly fine... Use Cf value according to ur flow calculations...I mean for Turbulent flows..
