Default Gzip files - how to create them?

Hi.

I'mtrying to write my cases files in a compressed format. I've already done this, during the formation, just typing ".gz" at the end of the name file/write/case/ -> file.cas.gz

That's not working at work! Is there a special option to check ?

Many thanks !
