well, which OS are you running on? I run on windows but the license server is a remote. I start the command with a DOS file, gambit.bat. as soon as I run, the popup Window echos all the computers using it. Beside this, you should then an adm. if you're an adm to license how come you konw people using it, if I may ask.

My OS is linux. I'm not the administrator. The system administrator is on a break. Just wanted to check to make sure that no one is using the license. I am running fluent installed from the computing center and each time i subject a job file or try to run fluent interactively, i get the following message:
Loading "/rwthfs/rz/SW/FLUENT/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.2.16/lib/flprim.dmp.1119-32" Done. RPC RCX_INIT_LICENSE failed: RPC: Timed out Unexpected license problem; exiting. EOF on stdout. The fluent process could not be started. Error: eval: unassigned variable Error Object: rp-3d? Loading "/rwthfs/rz/SW/FLUENT/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.2.16/lib/fluent.dmp.114-32" Done. version> version> version> version> version> So i have the impression that I am having a license problem. James |
