HELLO,

I want to simulate a contaminant transport (witout reaction),then I have to a source of contaminant in my room(a tracer gas SF6) in my room, his flow rate is 2.5L/s, my questions are:

1- HOW TO ADD SF6?? 2- CAN I ASSOCIATE MASS FLOW INLET AT THIS SOURCE OF CONTAMINANT-IN THIS CASE WE HAVE MASS FLOW RATE(Kg/S), THEN HOW TO PUT MY FLOW RATE CONCENTRATION???

PLEASE LIGHTEN ME

Hi,

I am also trying to simulate similar thing with tracer gas; mine is CO2. I found out that we can do that with using species transport. We just dont need to enable volumetric reaction in the model. In the boundaries, you can specify the concentrations. I think you dont need to use VOF, Multiphase models. See tutorial #12 in the manual.

I hope this works for you.

Well......Mazyar, does this approach help us in ascertaining the average age of contaminant inside the room? Plz guys, continue the discussion.............
