Gambit question

I am looking to have a screen cover a pipe and model velocities and flow lines going into the pipe. I created the screen in autocad and imported into gambit no problem. I am having trouble determining how to tell Gambit and Fluent that i just want the volume to be a solid with water passing through it...I am having problems, whether it be because gambit had to create 100s of faces to capture the geometry of my screen accurately or the meshing needing to be so small. Any thoughts on how to remedy this or simplify the problem? Thanks

Hi,
you can specify the medium in setting boundary condition. i think you can select all the volumes in which water will passing and put them as fluid. and wall of pipe set them as wall. i hope by doing so your problem will be solved. bye san |
