text command for open a file???

Hi,
I have a problem: When I try to open a file with the text commans rc or file - rcad Fluent says: Error: File "xxx.cas" not found Error object: #f But the file is there!!! I tryed copying it into other directorys, but without success... What is the remedy??? Ralf |

hi if you work under unix or linux you have to give the path ./directory/file Best regards Katya

Thank you for the fast answer!
Indeed, Fluent runs on a workstation. I hade cases, where it was working without the whole path... howeverm, I tried to add the path, but somehow it still doesnt work. Do I have do use "xxx" or [xxx]??? How it has to look like? rc ["home/.../xxx.cas/"] Is it right??? Ralf |

Hallo Ralf, it is working on my surver(Unix-machine) with rc /home/..../name.cas and I started Fluent from the directory, where is my inputfile (background execution). I hope it will help. Best regards Katya
