hi,
i wanted to carry out 3D shell and Tube Heat Exchanger analysis in fluent. All fluent user are welcome to post there views and ideas on how to carry out this problem. It will be very help full to me. Thanks for all fluent users |

A full size conjugate heat transfer of the whole shell and tube heat exchanger can be a little difficult depending on the cooler size and the computational capabilities you have. The work around is to simulate a small size to determine thermal and pressure drop performance. It could be scaled to the full size core. Scaling could be tricky, considering you have baffles and the flow might not be of regular pattern. You could try the dual cell model in fluent. Keep posted on how you modelled it.

Hi,
I agree with your comment on computational dificulties to solve a full fledge Shell and tube Heat Exchanger. can you help me in getting the "Dual cell Model" as an demo to learn the process of computation. I don't have it. Thanking you, san |
