Hi,
what does this error message mean? "Error: This is an educational executable, and can only be used with cases containing less than 20,000 cells" It appears when iterating a 3D case with a velocity profile at the inlet... Thanks Ralf |

The educational version of FLUENT does not allow more than 20000 cells in model, and it is sold at 100 USD. I wonder how you get this message In my modest opinion you ought to contact your support engineer, it is included in the license fee

Pehaps you should check through the license manager if you are using or not an education license.

No, you are wrong, it is a full version of FLUENT but with the maximum number of cells limited to 20000. (2D, 3D, Axi, Steady, NonSteady....) It is an excellent Educational/reminder but it is not free, i.e. you pay 100 USD for 20000 Cells and GAMBIT is not included but www.fluentstudent.com will give you the full details. My question is How Ralf Schmidt got this message with a commercial version?

I fixed the problem, exiting Fluent and reloading the case file. The error message didn't appear any more. But what happend????
Additional Information: We have a FULL version of Fluent without any limitations. And there are a few licences available. |
