udf for drop size distribution

hi all
anybody has UDF file for drop size distribution for oil-water two phase flow in horizontal pipe. thanks Rashmi |

From my experience, you are probably better off to use some external means (like Excel) to make a file with drop data and then import that file as part of the set-up of the injections in Fluent.

Yes if the personnel just want the distribution its fine but what if one wants to study the case of drop break up and coalescence. Can injections handle that. Just curious to know. Thanks allan. KP

Sure, look in the Fluent manual for the specification of the file for injections. Should be something like xpos, ypos, zpos, uvel, yvel, zvel, etc. Make sure to include the parenthesis. I use a Windows system, and injection files can be created from Excel or even Notepad - they use the applicable end-of-file character.

u told me make a file in a excel and then import it in the fluent for injections.can u elaborate it for me like how do i write the file its better if u can send me some example files used in fluent which will be very helpful for me..iam not able to understand it clearly thanks |
