Default influence of time step in insationary simulation

Hello

i´m trying to get Residence time distributions (RTD) from a Fluent simulation. Therefore I monitor the facet average of the concentration of a Tracer that was entered at the entrance. Unfortunately the result depends on the time step size in the instationary simulation. How can it be that the result depends on the time step size? What can possibly be the mistake i´m making?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Best wishes

Sascha
