Radiation in combustive case

Hello! I would like to know if someone had the same problem I had to face modelling solid fuel combustion... I realized that radiation model with P1 gives good results only if a specified boundary condition at the furnace wall is set, such as a constant temperature. If I set the heat flux through the walls the case doesn't reach convergence and p1 residuals grow more and more...Furthermore, combustion is not complete. Has someone faced the same problem with radiation? Thanks Bye

Why don't you set a constant temperature as wall boundary condition instead of the heat flux? Chose the wall temperature in such a way that the wall heat exchange is equal to the known heat flux...BYe
