Grid independence check

Hello, I have made a 2-D model of a 7-blade turbine cascade. To check for grid independence, I created two different structured grids, one around only the middle blade, and one across the central blade channel (the surrounding areas are tri-paved). My question is this: what kind of measure is typically used for grid independence? Do I just compare the velocity/pressure fields by eye? Or would I compare some boundary layer velocity profiles? Or is there some measure in Fluent that will do it for me? Any help would be much appreciated. -Mattis
