I am getting the following error when I attempt to import a CGNS mesh file into Fluent: ------------------------------------------------------
: /file/import/cgns/mesh CGNS file name [] tomgrid_3.cgns Reading "| utility fe2ram -tCGNS -d3 tomgrid_3.cgns"... Starting exec /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/utility/fe2ram4.3/lnx86/fe2ram.4.3.11 -tCGNS -d3 tomgrid_3.cgns CGNS file to RAMPANT file Read 712937 nodes, 781813 elements, 1 groups. 8416 tet elements 10994 pyramid elements 189839 wedge elements 572564 hex elements Building... grid, Error: Null Domain Pointer Error Object: #f ----------------------------------------------------------- Fluent obviously isn't happy with the mesh. I am trying to diagnose the problem with the CGNS file. It would be a great help if I could figure out what the above error message means. Thanks, Matt |

negative cells or skewness levels so high the solver is interpreting these cells as completely flat with neg. volumes. go back to your grid and check for skewness.

Well, why didn't they just say so! I have discovered the negative volumes. Thanks for the translation.
