Meshing an aerofoil with a plain flap

I am trying to mesh an aerofoil with a plain flap in Gambit. Usually when dealing with just an aerofoil the top and bottom edges are splitted at some point to create a non-uniform grid spacing and a uniform grid spacing at some point on the aerofoil. since the aerofoil with flap has a space in between, does this affect it? How does the grid spacing come into account.I modelled it by cutting the aerofoil towards the leading edge and then rotating the leading edge to the desired angle (30degrees)to get the flap.Any advise on how to create the farfield boundary as well?
Thanks |
