My problem is that I'm trying to model the flapping wings of an ornithopter (ie flapping wing model aeroplane). The ornithopter wings consist of a leading-edge spar which flaps up and down, attached to which is a flexible wing surface. The wing surface deforms due to the aerodynamic forces either side of it.
I want to model this in Fluent, but I don't know how. The difficulty is, firstly getting the thing to flap, and secondly, getting the wing to deform. I'm only a poor student with no hope in getting this show on the road without help. Any advice would be hugely appreciated. Cheers. |

the thing to flap is realized by means of DEFINE_CG_MOTION the wing to deform is by using DEFINZE_GEOM

I cannot find the funtion DEFINZE_GEOM in the help. Can you check that it's the correct function, please?
Thanks. |

Actually, scrap that, I think you meant DEFINE_GEOM.
Thanks for your help, much appreciated! |
