Default c compiler for fluent in windows

I always read about Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 or Microsoft Visual C++ .NET to use for compiling UDFs for fluent in windows.

Does anyone ever tried to use other compilers, such as the one from Intel or Dev-C++ within fluent under windows?

Suggestions for alternative compilers are also obviously greatly appreciated...

Thank you very much for any response...

Edi.
