importing vertex data

I am very new to this (doing a project at college), so please excuse the stupid question: I am trying to import the coordinates of a turbine blade into gambit, using import>vertex data. The coordinates are in a text file in two columns, separated by a tab, as x and y (x running from the LE to TE on the suction surface and back to the LE on the pressure surface). When I try to import this, gambit tells me it's assuming raw point input, and I get an "error reading point data" somewhere part way through the file. Can anybody tell me what the correct format of the text file should be, or how else I can import these coordinates? Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry, just figured it out: I didn't give it any z-coordinates! Apologies again for wasting time.

I have had some problems similar to yours, have you tried to add a third column of zeros to the tab deliminated file to represent the z coordinates for the points? I have had some luck in doing so. Good Luck.
