Helo,

I made quite complicated geometry for sliding mesh but forgot about that both sliding zones must have its own boundary face. Now both zones share one interface face (this face is used by 2 volumes). It seems now that I have to start the work again because adding the second interface face seems to be impossible due to some "references to upper topology entity". How can I add second face to any of the zones (volumes) to make an interface later in Fluent?

can't you export the mesh again from gambit. it shall be okey this way???

You can disconnect the interface. In the Face commands, right-click on the "connect faces" command so that you can see the "disconnect faces" command button. Then click on that. Now you can pick your interface and it will give you two faces where there was just one. I'm not sure if you will have to remesh the volumes or not, but it should save you from having to redo all the geometry. This might not work if you've gone virtual (hopefully you saved a copy of this before you went virtual...).

evenif you have not saved it, open the jou file and save it as other name, and remove the end parts till you started to make it virtual. Remove all the save commands from jou as well this is important otherwise it will overwirite on your old files.

Now run the jou and you get the things back. Good luck.

Thanks for answers. I have to walk through the jou file because there is a virtual geometry. Then I will try the faces disconecting.
