Default Mass balance

Hi! I modeling a pf boiler. When I try to calculate the mass balance in the furnace, I report the mass fluxes (for all boundaries) and add to it the DPM mass sources. The sum I get is about 0. The problem is that I have enough particles that fall in the hopper of the furnace, where I have defined a trap boundary condition (sudden release of the volatiles and trap of the char). How are these these taken into consideration? I mean where the char + ash of these particles go?

Thanks in advance,

Ilias

The trapped char particles aren't calculated in the DPM sources. That's why your mass balance is ok.
