Hi,
I am having some difficulties with unsteady droplet combustion. The procedure is not very clear to me. I have activated unsteady tracking in the DPM panel and specified the start time and end time for injection. What are the things to look out for? In the steady case for which i have a converged solution, the number of droplets i was injecting from injection file was 16000. This was the same no. tracked and summing the no. that escaped, aborted, trapped, evaporated and incomplete always summed upto the 16000. For the unsteady case, this is not the case.In the unsteady case, i am injecting 1600 but the no. tracked is accumulating. Also, i have fewer droplets evaporating in the unsteady case than in the steady case. Any reason for this? What is the best procedure for setting up the unsteady droplet injection......idea of what time step to choose and for droplets and continuous flow and what injection times to choose for droplets will be appreciated. Any other precaution to be taken will be welcomed. James |
