Multiple frame reference in stirred tank reacto

How do i specify my boundary conditions in GAMBIT when i am intending to use MFR in FLUENT?
I had to two blocks(inner & outer). The inner contains the impeller & shaft and it is rotating one while the outer is the stationary which contains the baffles. I specifed my blades & shaft as moving wall with relative velocity adjacent to zone as zero. There is an interface which i created but my solution is not converging. I guess it is my boundary conditions or creation of the outer or inner blocks. I need help. |

There are two points you can check:
Is your grid ok after you set the interfaces? You can check this with the command grid -> check. The MRF is more suitable to problems with small rotor/stator interaction. You can try to use sliding mesh if your interaction is strong. Good luck galeazzo |

Thanks. My tank height is about 300mm. Can you advise me on how i can restructure my grid. How do i create this interface?

There is a Fluent tutorial on how to set a sliding mesh problem. If you have access to the www.fluentusers.com, the URL is http://learningcfd.com/login/fluent/...iding-mesh.pdf
