Segmentation fault using non-conformgrid interface

I try to join 2 nonconformal interfaces using tmerge. I open up the merged case file in fluent and set the grid interface. As such 2 walls (boundary zones) are created (say wall-4 and wall-5). I change the boundary condition of one of the walls (wall-5) to say pressure. But the following error message shows up when I try to run it. The only time when Fluent runs ok is when I keep both of them as walls. Could someone please let me know what the problem might be. This happens with 6.2 but never happened with 6.1 version of fluent.
Thanks for your help. before making the interface try this on command line
(rpsetvar 'nonconformal/cell-faces 0) this should fix the problem, but if the problem is not solved by this and you can read the total mesh into gambit. then save your case and read the total mesh into gambit by mesh import (use the cas you saved in import..it is important), then rewrite the mesh, read again the mesh, and before creating interface again use the command i mentioned above , the problem should be fixed now. |

Does this mean you want to define the BC at the non-conformal interface? As far as non-conformal interface is concerned, 6.2 is better than 6.1

Yes. I am trying to simulate a moving jet using sliding mesh and nonconformal grid interface. It worked in 6.1 but gives segmentation violation error in 6.2. What I am trying to do is briefly descibed in my first post in this thread.
You can give me some suggestions that I can try. Thanks Anindya |
