Hi Everybody
I am trying to generate meshes in a 3-d model of a valve. When I check the grids, its showing the error message as grid check failed. I have used the command "repair meshes" and 2 left handed meshes are reported to be converted into right handed meshes. After that my grind checking is found fine. But when I proceed the calculation, its giving the error message of negative volumes. Could anybody can help me in fixing this problem? thanking you, Rajesh |

Raj,
You have to remesh the domain again. Your grid should pass the check before implementing the "repair mesh". Due to geometry complexity, your meshing strategy can be based on dividing the domain into smaller volumes so you can deal with each separately and easily. Good luck. Jim |

Hi Jim,
Thank you for your suggestion. Initially, I have made my grid without many divisions. Then the solution was diverging. Then I tried modyfying my mesh by dividing the geometry into many segments. After this, I noticed all these problems like rihgt handedness and left handesnes 'n all. Anyway I will try changing my mesh if there are no other ways. thanx Rajesh |
