Default Modelling Wind Turbines

Has anyone had experience with modelling 3D wind turbines? I am currently grappling with MRF vs sliding mesh and whether I use a rotating cylindrical mesh plus rotating blades, or keep the blades stationary and have a swirl component in the inital boundary conditions to simulate the wind.

Does anyone have experience on this? or able to point me to some good references?

This has to be a 3D problem, as my blades are not horizontal to the axis.

Thanks in advance.
