What about .gz files

Default What about .gz files

I am a new user of Fluent. I wonder why Fluent doesnīt compress case and data files by default. Itīs about the half of size. Is there any disadvantage in compressing the files with gunzip?

no disadvantages, but using .gz is only for space on the hard disk
