Default Exporting problem from parallel solvers

File Export pannel reads a lot of file types to be exported from a serial solver, but a few of types only appear on parallel FLUENT. Just two file types, EnSight Case Gold and Fieldview Unstructured on the File Type in Export pannel activated only. Fluent version is 6.1 or 6.2. What a problem!

Save your case and data, close fluent and run a serial solver of fluent. I use "fluent 3d -post" a lot... I've had better luck with it not "freaking out" but my machine is relatively old and slow. Open the case and data back up, and then you should be able to export the data as you want.

Hope this helps, Jason

But I should get the files at each time steps automatically on runnung parallel solvers of fluent to save time.

Unfortunately you can't. I do that by a UDF. I write to file for each node process data I need. Luca

there is one more way of doing it, write the cas and data each time step, and then run journal to export each stage required data,

Yes zxaar you're right. You can also export a profile file each iteration. That works in the parallel case too. Luca

yup, it should works fine in parallel solver. If you are running it through batch file, use "autosave" command to save case dan dat files at a time step interval (say at each 25 time steps).

It this what you're asking?
