Default Linux Cluster Performance with a bi-processor PC

Hi, I have a question regarding Linux Cluster (Suse Linux Server Enterprise 9) I have 3 Intel P4 3GHZ with 1GB Ram each (operating system Linux) I tested the efficiency of this cluster with a 1.6 Million cells mesh. When I compare the results, the speed of calculations increases fast linearly. So I tried to add another machine in this cluster. This machine is a bi-processor Intel Xeon 2x 2.4GHz with 2GB Ram. I installed Linux on it and configured the hostfiles properly. I spawned my 3 P4, and 2 nodes more which are the two processors form the bi-processor machine. I launched the same case file, and after 100 iterations 1 saw that this cluster's configuration (5 CPU), was slower than the 3 CPU Cluster. I tried to spawn just just one node (eg: 4 CPU CLuster), but same result! Does anyone have any idea, why I get slower performance when I use a bi-processor machine as slave nodes? Thanks M.
