If you cut a slice in 3D geometry, is it possible to export corresponding facet areas and average velocities through those facets? Or to ask it differently. How to get facet area vectors and facet velocity vectors for a cut slice in an ascii file? Which functions have to chosen in the File/Export menu? Or how to calculate those quantities from available ones? I would like to use exported data for calculations similar to calculation of flow rate/mass flow rate. Thanks for any answer.

Dear DS, in the PLOT XY menu you have an option to either plot (say) velocity on the slice or 'Write to file' the data as a text file which can then be used in Excel. May be this solves your problem.
