Default Max Optical thickness for Discrete Ordinate Modell

Hello,

has someone experience which optical thickness is the maximum for the discrete ordinate modell? I try to modell radiation through float-glass which results in optical thickness between 0.1 and 10 (depends on the wavelength) When I use the real material values -> the temperatures at my window are far away form the measured one.
