thanks pUl|,

but i found that i can't access this web material. since i am just an academic member of an university. i did not have the primary lisence of fluent. so what was the other way to read the content ?

Two ways you can get the info...

The documentation comes with Fluent. You may have to talk to the person who installed the software and see if they did, or if they will install the documentation.

The other way is to talk to the person who owns the Fluent license. They can create an account for themselves by contacting Fluent and then go online and get the information for you.

i already had the document of FLuent 6.1, not 6.2. since my department had only the previous version and i discovered that the lastest version had some new equation solver in the viscous session like the detached eddy simulation and enhanced option of reynold stress function. thus i wanted more review to see whether it was suitable for my paper for not.

my second question was in what case the detached eddy simulation can be applied? and what was the advantage of using the new feature in reynold eddy equation option.
