Hi guys, is it possible to use a porous element (with porosity set ted equal to 0) instead of a solid element? I've difficulties in turning off fluid fluxing throught. Thaks and regards to everyone.

The porosity is not basically accounted for if you're solving for the flow equations. It implicitly shows its effect in the resistance coefficents. However, porosity affects the energy equation if you're interested in solving that.

The porosity is only used in determining the thermal conductivity, density and heat capacity of the porous medium. If you are doing fluid-flow only, you can increase the porous media resistance to a very large number and effectively stop through-flow. You cannot do this with heat transfer.

Why don't you just change the zone from fluid to solid?
