Parallel under Win2000 - Error message

Hi,
I am trying to run a case in two Win2000 machines, using the MPICH interface. The Fluent 6.2.16 parallel version loads fine, but when I load the case (which I have set up in the serial version), I got the message during the grid building: Primitive Error at Node 1: dump_face: out of memory. Primitive Error at Node 0: dump_face: out of memory. According to the Task Manager, I already have 300MB free physical memory in the host machine and 1200MB in the node machine. Any help will be apreciated. Kind Regards, Galeazzo |

I'm just guessing, but this may be a Windows memory management issue and not a problem with the amount of physical memory. The Windows MALLOC command has some issues.

IMHO it is never a good idea to try to use Windoz for parallel stuff. Try any *nix based system, fewer headaches.
