Default Parallel under Win2000 - Error message

Hi,

I am trying to run a case in two Win2000 machines, using the MPICH interface. The Fluent 6.2.16 parallel version loads fine, but when I load the case (which I have set up in the serial version), I got the message during the grid building:

Primitive Error at Node 1: dump_face: out of memory.

Primitive Error at Node 0: dump_face: out of memory.

According to the Task Manager, I already have 300MB free physical memory in the host machine and 1200MB in the node machine.

Any help will be apreciated.

Kind Regards,

Galeazzo

I'm just guessing, but this may be a Windows memory management issue and not a problem with the amount of physical memory. The Windows MALLOC command has some issues.

Thanks, Evan. Can I do anything to solve this problem?

IMHO it is never a good idea to try to use Windoz for parallel stuff. Try any *nix based system, fewer headaches.
