Default Help needed regarding Dynamic Mesh Model

I'm using FLUENT for a part of my MS thesis problem. I need some help regarding the dynamic mesh model. I have a deforming domain. The deformation is defined by means of the motion of one of the boundary of the domain. The problem is that I don't have a functional form for the boundary motion. Instead the shape of the boundary is described at every time step by a set of ordered pair (x_i,y_i) where i is the node number. This data is obtained from a program writen in MATLAB. Is it possible to describe boundary motion by means of a set of data at each time step in the dynamic mesh model.

hi,

Yes, you can do this. You need to write an UDF to describe you motion. If you find time, go through UDF manual and every thing is written very precisely. You did not mention any thing about your university. Hope this might answer your question.

Thanks

I think you can also do it using boundary profiles.

Greetings! I am engaged in a few(a little, little bit) use of dynamic grids. Typical problems(tasks) which I solve – the vertical free and compelled fluctuations vertically focused î the cylinder on section of phases water - air. There are some problems in the decision of these problems(tasks). With a part of these problems I have already understood. Probably it will interest you. The best regards!
