Hi! I simulating a supersonic flow out of a con-dive-nozzle and there is a combustion inside the nozzle. I am supposed to capture atleast 7 to 8 shock diamonds outside the nozzle. But my flow-model dispates so early that I get only 1 strong shock diamond and a week one. Can any one tell me the way to capture more shocks. I have tried adaption techniques!

I do not know if fluent has the capability to capture shocks so effectively. I had to work with modeling of laser ablation and found that fluent was not very good in capturing the shock waves. You might want to try to look for some specific softwares which has the capacity to simulate shock flows.

For combustion analysis there is a software called KIVA which works pretty well.

Hey Fluent user, im pretty new to fluent. My professor has given me a problem in laser ablation to solve. I'm not able to find any information regarding that anywhere, kindly help me with this. I would like to know how you were able to simulate it.
Thanks,
NanoTech.

Hey there, I know this is an old post but I really need help in this area. So can you tell me how you simulated the diamond shocks in the first place? Its kind of urgent, so it you can briefly explain how you setup the simulation, I would really appreciate it. thanks in advance!
