I am trying to simulate an airlift reactor in unsteady state using Fluent 6.1.2. I would like to know if there is any way that fluent can calculate the time averaged data directly and give the output. Does anyone have an idea how to do this.

When you go to iterate, click the data-sampling for time statistics box. Do this after your initial start up time, and you some steady periodicity. Then you can go to your contours, reporting values, or whatever you choose, and select unsteady statistics followed by mean pressure/velocity, etc.
