HI, I am designing a PEM fuel cell. Can any one help me in setting the conditions for the fuel cell. I just want to know how to give the conditions for various layers in the fuel cell like the condition for porous layer, membrane condition. I did not any options for applying any conditions in Fluent. I would appreciate if someone can help Thank you phani

You can define a porous layer as you would a solid or fluid zone in GAMBIT. As for the membrane, you have do decided if you are intersted in modeling the species/temperature etc *within* the membrane. If you are you should model it as a fluid or solid or porous layer. If not you can model it as a wall.
If you need more guidance there are is a vast ammount of publications in the area. I would suggest starting at the Journal of Electrochemical Society. All the best |

you can model the porous layer as fluid. I dont think Fluent allow you to have solid porous layer.
