Hallo CFD engineers,

I am solvig the centrifugal compressor(impeller-diffuser interaction)preoblem. This is an unsteady, average Mach nunmber Ma=0.7, ideal gas, sliding mesh problem... I know that recomended is coupled solver. But when I use a coupled solver I have problem to get convergenced solution. On the other when I use a segregated solver the problem disapears. Residuals decrease about 3 orders of magnitude, lift coeff estimates sinusoidal characteristic, mass imballance is less than 2 percent.

The question:

Is it allowed to use the segregated solver in such compressible case? What to think about the results? Need Your advice.

regards

Michael
