Hello everybody,
I would like to import a Solidworks drawing into Gambit, in order to mesh it, and then read it in Fluent 3-D. Does anyone know what is the procedure for that? From what i saw, Gambit can import only IDEAS or Pro-Engineer files... Thank you in advance, Lior. |

You have to save the file in Solidworks with ACIS format and then import it in Gambit... where you have to choose the Fluent solver.

Export a parasolid it is much easier. Although if you are using imported CAD, then you most likely need to clean it up and remove unnecessary information, and invert it so there is fluid.
