when droplets pass through porous media, resistance force must be placed on droplets due to the existence of solid parts in porous media. i dont know how to simulate this using fluent, does someone have the experience about this problem?

what is your porous medium? by droplets do you mean some type of liquid seepage? or it is some saturated vapor circulating in your medium?

thank you very much for your responses.the porous is sic foam.droplets injected in computation zone are evaporated and impated at the porous surface .my question is how to simulate the resistance force by porous medium using porous model in fluent. thank you again.

Dear sirs, Has anybody used Fluent for modeling a porous media (catalyc convertor) ,I cant get as same result as when Star-cd has been used for modeling this prous media project, I would be thankful to hear any openion, Best Mohsen
