error when mesh in Gambit

When I meshed a cylinder(h=665m, r=1000) using Tet/Hybrid in Gambit, mesh space is 1m, it always had a error: Tetrahedral meshing has failed ofr volume 1. This is usually caused by problems in the face meshes. Check the skewnesses of your face meshes and make sure the face mesh sizes are not too large in areas of small gaps.
But I think the mesh size already very small. Does anyone know what I can do for that? When I tried 20m for space it works, but this mesh is not fine enough. Thanks for advice. |

Hey,
A thought on the matter: Have you let GAMBIT create the FACE MESHES automatically? I've had some success before with manually creating quad meshes all around the volume, which I have then split into triangular ones. Following this I've meshed the volume using either tet/hybrid- or TGrid elements. |

Mesh the faces manually then use that scheme for volume mesh. (hope it solves the problem)
All the best Par |
